Warriors like Paladins have the ability to dodge, block, and parry. The difference between a Paladin and Warrior in terms of melee tanking stats is that Warriors get a bigger bonus from Strength and less of a Bonus from Agility as Paladins do, otherwise they are virtually the same stats with those variations.
As far as damage is concerned, Warriors are considered an active tank, meaning Damage plays a large portion in their threat, whereas, Paladins are a reactive tank where they rely on mobs hitting them to generate a lot of threat. Paladins are a favorite tank because of their AoE threat, tanking abilities, and buffs; but Warriors, Druids, and Death Knights all do substantially more damage while tanking than Paladins can be a great addition to any 5 man heroic run group.
