WoW PvP Guides

Player vs. Player in WoW is the fighting between one or more people rather than Player vs. Environment when one player is interacting with the computer world. WoW gives players the opportunity to take part in PvP if they wish with the two factions - Horde and Alliance. The Battlegrounds are certain zones where you can go to specifically PvP, and if you are brave enough you can earn team based points for participating in these contested areas.

If you want to be amazing and competitive as a PvP player, check out this guide. Here are the Almost Gaming WoW guides related to PvP:

PvP Gear

Here is a basic list of PvP gear you can buy when you reach level 70. I've leveled several characters to 70 and the first thing to consider when planning to do PvP is how you're going to get gear. There are few suitable alternatives that are obtainable without raiding, so if you want to be competitive at 70, you'll need to farm some honor to buy some of the following rewards.

Mage PvP

Mages have many times been referred to as “Glass Cannons.” This may be true for some people, but with the right skill and spec a mage can be extremely powerful in PvP. Mages require A LOT of skill if you want to be a good PvPer. If you cannot think quickly and micro-manage many spells and abilities then you would be better off sticking to PvE or rolling an easier class to play. I’ve broken the guide down into the three types of PvP: duels, battlegrounds, and arena.

Hunter PvP Guide

Hunters - Born to kill, kite to live

Hunter and PvP. PvP and Hunter. If there ever was a class destined to annoy the other faction to their wits end, it was certainly us! With a mountain of abilities to get out of our dead-zone, and a pet that can just about take a cloth wearer down by themselves, we're a one man army. Here are the basics of hunter PvP'ing and dueling, to get you started.

Using Multiple Freezing Traps in Arena / PVP

With the newest Patch Hunters are now allowed to freeze trap multiple targets, which was stupid before that they couldn't so I'm glad they fixed this.

To take advantage of this in the Arena you will want to run out to wherever your group is going to setup and immediately drop a trap, this will start the Freezing Trap cooldown timer. Make sure you let your group members know that you have laid a trap so if they are in trouble or go away from the trap they will be able to run back to it to freeze someone else.

Levelling in Battlegrounds

A recent addition to World of Warcraft was that players now have the option to earn experience while they are in a battleground. Prior to 3.2.2 this was extremely effective and offered a good alternative to questing. That being said, it is still pretty good.

There are a few things to note:

You can not enter battlegrounds before level 10

The honor cap is set at 75,000

HUNTER DUELING PVP GUIDE

HUNTER BM SPEC PVP GUIDE

Ok so I decided to make a best mastery pvp guide. Of course I have my very own hunter “Omghunterman“yes I am beast mastery. IMO beast mastery is the best pvp spec although how many arguments there has been about beast master VS marksmanship. Pvp is about quick burst dps to take out your opponent as quickly as possible. Which is why I say BM is the best pvp spec because you have +10% burst damage for 18 seconds (the beast within) and with ferocious howl (+3% damage) proc and imp AoH (+15% range attack speed) and serpent’s swiftness (+20%

Paladin PvP Guide

A common theme in all these strategies, which the Holy talents I have allow, is survivability and outlasting the enemy. My talent build does not in any way result in quick or easy wins. They are usually long and strenuous. On the other hand, a win is almost assured.

Shaman Tanking in Arena

When I first rolled a shaman, i have this crazy idea. WARMAN! Lol a tanking shaman that is. Well as expected, I got a lot of 'Yo! Warman, so how's your tanking? LOLOL'. Well I am the one having the last laugh now to be honest. They finally agreed and confirmed that a Shaman can indeed Tank! YES! TANK! in arena.

Priest Glyphs: What's Worth the Slot, Part 2

In our examination of priest glyphs last time, we took a look at some healing-focused options, primary for the Holy spec but with some crossover for certain. This time we'll polish off healing options, and move into some PvP-centric glyphs for Discipline.

Rogue PvP Guide

World PvP

If any class had the ability to grief someone in World PvP it is definately the rogue. A rogue can sneak up on anyone unexpectantly in World PvP and ruin timed quests, corpse camp them, wait until they are PvE'ing and then jump them, one shot them at low health, and all sorts of ways you can piss someone off in World PvP.
