Violet Hold (75-77)

The Violet Hold is a level 75-77 instance located inside Dalaran. It is similar to Stormwind Stockades in the sense that it is a prison complex and located in a major city. It is also similar to The Black Morass as it is a timed event consisting of 18 portals where bosses are encountered after the 6th, 12th and 18th portal.

Quests

There is currently 1 quest line for Violet Hold: Discretion is Key, it begins at Rhonin, right outside the Violet Citadel (West side of Dalaran.) Which will eventually send you into the Violet Hold to kill Cyanigosa.

Bosses

The first two bosses are chosen at random among the following:

Erekem

Visually identifiable as an Arakkoa with two adds. Tank him along with his adds while focusing DPS on Erekum (do not kill the adds first or an annoying debuff will be applied to your tank)

Moragg

Identifiable as a giant octopus demon.

Ichoron

Identifiable as a Revenant Water Elemental (new to WotLK). Ichoron will spawn a bunch of Ichor Globules which, to earn Dehydration, kill them as quickly as possible before merge with each other.

Xevozz

Xevozz is an ethereal who will summon an orb (two on heroic) which will need to be kiting and kept away from the rest of the party by the tank.

Lavanthor

Laventhor is a giant core hound. He must be directed away from the party similar to the core hounds in Molten Core. No confirmed loot.

Zuramat the Obliterator

Zuramat is a giant voidwalker who will summon adds that should only be killed after being afflicted with the Void Shifted debuff.

Cyanigosa

Finally you will encounter Cyanigosa, a giant blue dragon similar to the dragon at the end of The Black Morass encounter. She will cast an AoE blizzard that must be avoided, otherwise it is another easy encounter. No confirmed loot
