WoW Jewelcrafting Guide | 1-450 Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide
Before you get started leveling your Jewelcrafting you MUST READ THIS GUIDE so that you can load up on gold and not waste time farming easily obtainable items.
This leveling guide was last updated for patch 3.3.5.
This Jewelcrafting leveling guide will help you with leveling your Jewelcrafting from 1-450. Jewelcrafting is a great profession to combine with Mining due to prospecting if you're starting a character from level one or very early on. However, we know that this is not always the case since most of the time most people are looking to power level their skill in a certain profession along with making gold for their characters. This Jewelcrafting leveling guide will give you the knowledge to gain the skill you desire and possibly to make some gold for your character. If you are leveling in order to do Jewelcrafting dailies you will need to be level 65 with a skill of 350.
If you run into problems with finding gems for this leveling guide you can farm or buy ore and prospect that ore for gems. It is five ore for every attempt.
If you are looking to buy your items from the auction house for this guide you may want to farm some gold, you can check out this guide to make your life easier while leveling up your Jewelcrafting.

Trezzel's Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 – 450
Most people looking at this leveling guide are looking to buy their way through leveling their Jewelcrafting so I haven't made a list of materials due to all servers having a different amount of items and the costs of those items being different. This leveling guide gives you some alternatives routes at some of the skill levels. There is an estimated amount of materials for the skill ups to help you obtain the skill level to move on to the next recipe in the guide.
I wanted to put a shopping list in with the guide but you all would of been quite frustrated with coming short in a spot or two and having to run back to the auction house or go farm something for single skill up so I gave you approximate values that were pretty much exactly on par with mine when I completed the guide.
Visit any Jewelcrafting Trainer in the main cities to learn Apprentice Jewelcrafting. Also you will need to pick up a Jeweler's Kit and a Simple Grinder. Also ensure you know what levels you need to head back to a trainer in order train to the next set of skills for leveling in the next part of the guide.
One of the things to be mindful about while leveling with this guide is the cost of leveling Jewelcrafting if you plan to buy your way through it; especially at the lower levels in the current expansion and higher levels it is actually much cheaper to buy the materials. Feel free to check out a guide to farm the items or ways to make gold to make your leveling easier.
Apprentice & Journeyman Jewelcrafting (Levels 1-150)
This is by far the cheapest Jewelcrafting leveling route at this level or you can try to do alternate recipes that you have in your Jewelcrafting interface for leveling to 150.
Expert Jewelcrafting (Levels 150-225)
As this Jewelcrafting leveling guide moves on it gets a bit more expensive to buy mats so if you need help getting gold look at this gold guide to make your life easier while leveling.
Artisan Jewelcrafting (Levels 225-300)
Gems can be rare at this level to buy off the auction house if that is how you are obtaining items while leveling with this guide. You can either buy/farm more Mithril Ore in order to prospect to get the gems which is what I had to do while leveling up my Jewelcrafting.
Master Jewelcrafting (Levels 300-350)
You now have to go to Outland in order to pick up your next skills from the Jewelcrafting Trainer along with the recipes in order to continue leveling with this Almost Gaming Jewelcrafting guide.
You will now only need one gem per attempt as you are cutting gems that often sell well on the auction house. Be mindful that Outland cut gems do not sell well since WotLK has emerged and has better Jewelcrafting gem cuts.
For each Jewelcrafting skill area any of the recipes will work so just buy or farm the gems needed for the cuts listed and continue leveling and become the jewelcrafter you want to be.
Grand Master Jewelcrafting (Levels 350-450)
For this Jewelcrafting leveling section you will need to go to Northrend and train with the Jewelcrafting Trainer to get new recipes. You can buy most all gems and Eternal Earths on the auction for a cheap so it may be worth it to just buy them there instead of spending countless hours farming them. Pretty much everything at this point is sellable just take a look at your market and see which cuts give you the best bang for the buck to make any gold back you may of spent leveling up.
Some of these Jewelcrafting recipes are from your trainer, and some of them are from Tiffany Cartier in Dalaran, there are also a lot of them dropped by bosses and mobs around Northrend so choose your way while finishing leveling up your Jewelcrafting.
If you've been buying all your mats so far and find yourself out of gold take a look at this guide for extra gold to finish leveling your Jewelcrafting.
Thanks for using this Jewelcrafting leveling guide!!!!
