While it’s still a while before the newest WoW expansion, Mists of Pandaria is released, it’s not too early to be getting excited about all the new incoming changes to the game.
Some of the most obvious highlights are the addition of a new race, Pandaren, which look like big fat pandas. Some of racial traits for this race are really neat:
Epicurean: Increases the stat benefits from food by 100%
Gourmand: Cooking skill increased by 15
Inner Peace: Your rested experience bonus lasts twice as long.
Bouncy: You take 50% less falling damage.
Quaking Palm: You touch a secret pressure point on an enemy target, putting it to sleep for 3 seconds.
There is also a new class, the Monk, which is capable of damage, defense, and healing. It can wear cloth and leather armor, uses fist weapons, one-handed axes, one-handed maces, one-handed swords, polearms, and staves.
Challenge Modes are being implemented, which allow your group to select challenges, like racing to beat the instance as fast as possible. In these modes your gear is stabilized and you earn medals for how well your group does.
The new Pet Battle System provides a place for vanity pets to duel other players’ vanity pets. As they win duels the pets gain experience and can level up, unlocking new strength and abilities. You can also now capture vanity pets as you encounter them in the world and you can even visit a trainer to train them new skills.
