Where to Find Sha Leather – Updated for Patch 5.0.1 – Mists of Pandaria
Leather: Sha Leather
Zones to Farm: Throughout New Mists of Pandaria High Level Zones: Townlong Steppes, Kun-Lai Summit, The Jade Forest, Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Dread Wastes, Valley of the Four Winds, Krasarang Wilds
Required Skinning Skill: Unknown
Sha Leather is the first high level leather you’ll encounter as a Skinner in the Mists of Pandaria expansion. It’s like the Savage Leather or Borean Leather of this expansion. While I don’t have the exact locations of the best areas to farm Sha Leather yet I have placed a general Mists of Pandaria map below to give you an idea of the layout of the continent. It’s likely that you will find Sha Leather and Sha Leather Scraps in various regions in all of the zones shown in the map below.
Sha Leather Scraps
You can use Sha Leather Scraps to create Sha Leather in the same way that you could use leather scraps to create pieces of leather in previous expansions. In this case it will take you five Sha Leather Scraps to create one piece of Sha Leather. You will need to have a Leatherworking skill level of 500 in order to train to turn the scraps into pieces of leather.
Leatherworking with Sha Leather
As stated above, Leatherworkers will be able to turn Sha Leather Scraps to Sha Leather. They will also use this leather to level up their Leatherworking to 600. It’s uncertain as to how far you’ll be able to level up using Sha Leather before you have to move onto using others such as Heavy Sha Leather, Prismatic Scale, or Magnificent Hide.
